LastRep has no account and no login. Your training log lives on your iPhone. Three things leave it: a Pro coach question, a community post, and your purchase. Each one is spelled out below.
Everything you enter — exercises, sets, weights, reps, cardio sessions, favorites, your weekly plan, form checks, and coach conversations — is written to a file inside the app's private storage on your device. Form check videos and their analysis stay on the device too; they are never uploaded. All of it is included in your device backups if you back up your iPhone, and it is deleted when you delete the app.
We do not have a copy of your training log. The only training data that ever leaves your phone is the summary sent with a Pro coach question, described next.
Coach answers from your own log. On the free tier it runs entirely on your device, using your logged numbers and nothing else — no network request is made.
If you subscribe to Pro, your questions are answered by a language model instead, and that requires sending data off your phone. When you send a Pro coach message, LastRep posts the following to our server at lastrep-coach.vercel.app (hosted on Vercel):
Our server passes the question and that summary to Vercel AI Gateway, which routes it to whichever model provider is available at the time. The providers we route to are MiniMax, Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Meta, Mistral and DeepSeek. Their handling of the request is governed by their own terms and by Vercel's privacy policy.
Our server keeps nothing. It holds the request only long enough to get the reply and hand it back to your phone; there is no database and no stored transcript. Errors are logged so we can fix them, and error logs may include a status code and a short message from the provider, but not your training data. The rate-limit counter lives in memory and disappears when the server restarts.
There is no account and no API key. You never sign in, and there is nowhere in the app to enter a key. If you cancel Pro, the coach falls back to answering on your device and stops sending anything.
LastRep Pro is an auto-renewing subscription sold by Apple. The purchase itself happens in Apple's sheet — we never see your payment method, and we receive no money information beyond the signed receipt described above.
We use RevenueCat to keep track of subscription and trial numbers. It runs in observer mode, which means purchases still go through our own StoreKit code and RevenueCat only watches them. Its SDK starts when the app launches, for free and paid users alike. It receives:
RevenueCat receives no training data, no name and no email address. Their handling is governed by their privacy policy.
If you tap "Add Week to Calendar" on the Plan tab, LastRep creates one event per planned training day in the current week.
iOS asks for full calendar access for this, and here is why: when you export the week again, LastRep has to find the events it created last time and replace them, otherwise you get duplicates. Finding them means reading the current week's events. It looks at nothing outside that week, and it only touches events whose note reads "LastRep weekly plan" — the note it wrote itself. Your other events are ignored, and nothing from your calendar is sent anywhere or leaves your device.
The Community tab is optional. You can read it without providing anything.
If you post, the post is public — everyone using the app can read it. Do not post anything you would not want other lifters to see. Stored on our server for each post: the nickname you pick, the text of the post, a random identifier generated on your device, and the time. That identifier is not your Apple ID, your name, or your email — it is a random value the app creates and keeps in its own settings. It exists so posts can be attributed to a nickname, so you can block someone without either of you having an account, and so we can remove posting access from anyone who abuses the forum. Because blocking happens in the app, that identifier is included in the post data other copies of the app download.
Votes are stored the same way: the post, the identifier, and the direction. Posts and votes live on our servers, not on your device.
You can report a post or block another user by long-pressing it. Reported posts are reviewed and removed if they break the house rules. We may remove any post and disable posting for any device at our discretion. To have your own post removed, use the in-app report tool on it or email us at the address below with the nickname and roughly when you posted, and we will delete it.
LastRep is not directed at children under 13.
If this policy changes, the date at the top will be updated.
